Our School
Our school currently consists of 13 classes, catering for children from toddlers (18 months) through to Grade R (5–6 years). Class sizes range from 14 to 24 learners, and each class is supported by a dedicated teaching assistant who works alongside the teacher to enhance learning and provide additional support.
Our Early Childhood Development programme, for children aged 18 months to 5 years, is guided by the Early Learning and Development Areas (ELDAs) and the National Early Learning and Development Standards (NELDS). These National Curriculum Frameworks support the holistic development of the child. The six key areas include Well-being, Identity and Belonging, Communication, Exploring Mathematics, Creativity, and Knowledge and Understanding of the World.
We provide structured learning and build a strong foundation for our Grade R learners (5-6 years) by following the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS). This includes the three subjects of Home Language, Mathematics, and Life Skills, and ensures school readiness as well as a confident transition into formal schooling.
